Particle Life
⚠️Epilepsy Warning⚠️
This is a simple simulation where different colored particles have different repulsions and attractions to each other.
CONTROLS:
Before starting, or after clicking out of the game, make sure to click the little grey border on the top or bottom of screen so that the controls work. This is an itch.io embed issue. When in full screen, you can just click anywhere outside the black square
Hold left click to spawn particles at the mouse position
Press R to change the attraction and repulsion variables
Press S to slow down the particles
Press M to send the particles to the center
Sliders are at the bottom of the screen. They show the attraction and repulsion between the color on the bottom and the color on the top. The lower the slider is, the more repulsion. The higher, the more attraction
This version includes multi-threading, physics-calculated loop around the screen, delta frame rate smoothing, and other performance and quality of life optimizations
Common formations:
Crystal lattice: A very stable checkerboard
Unstable nucleus: A very jittery ball of particles
Stable nucleus: A more stable ball of particles
Simple life: A nucleus with a form of movement. Movement is often random, but sometimes driven by just a couple driving particles and more stable. Sometimes will eat more stable formations, move around, shoot out the old stable formations, get eaten by another of its kind, or even split into two or more distinct clones
Complex life: Similar to simple life but with multiple distinct structures

This "simulation" is so addicting. I can't stop playing it. I can see particles in my eyes long after I have left my computer. Thank you.
An amazing simulation one of the most relaxing things I have played
